Size matters…when it’s a monitor
When my 17 inch Dell flat panel monitor (E172FP) went phut with a power problem two weeks ago after less than two years use, I was forced back onto a 15 inch CRT from another Dell PC (I always buy Dell PCs because they’re good). Working with a 15 inch screen (and it’s not even that visible if you measure) is like sitting at a crowded table with no elbow room. Trying to juggle multiple windows in a smaller space. Wondering why my desktop looks so cluttered and things seem fuzzy (yes, I did drop the resolution down) But many thanks to Dell (we won’t go into the hassles I had but suffice to say user confidence has been restored), I’m now re-equipped with a 17 inch flat panel. Crisp, clear, and just wonderful to have again. They say size doesn’t matter – it certainly does on the desktop.
