PRStorm’s new owner

March 16th, 2006 Leave a comment Go to comments

I’ve now contacted PRStorm’s new owner and asked about the future of this controversial software product. Bryan Kelly, who paid US$3,600, says that he’s done a great deal of reading about PRStorm. This included its use, reviews, and other issues as well as the views of the anti-spam community. In other words, he knows exactly what he’s bought, what it can do for page rank, and even the objections to its use.

So what will he do next?

Gain a better understanding of usage issues from an end-user perspective, and elicit feedback, comments and suggestions which will be used to formulate a plan going forward for PRStorm.

He acknowledges that there is a ‘dark side’ to search engine marketing and internet marketing in general on the web. However, some marketeers are risk-averse and use much safer strategies. Bryan believes that black hat methods have ultimately resulted in benefits for white hats – such as blog spam detection, improved search engine algorithms, and refined best practices. He also thinks there’s a place for both approaches within the internet marketing space.

As the battle for page rank on the internet heats up using increasingly sophisticated tools, the skirmishes between spammers/marketeers and anti-spammers look set to continue. But perhaps it’s time for some constructive suggestions too? Leave your comments here…

Well, at least he knows what he bought. I don’t get what he means by “formulate a plan going forward.” He sees a benifit of black hat SEO (spamming) and he bought PRStorm so I think the clear plan is make lots of money destroying the web.
