TO:- Michael Pollitt I have read all your above column, and find that the letter from Bill Mountain (is that his real name?) covers the siuation perfectly ie we are in our seventies and are frantic with worry over this Platte Media demand. Initially we received a demand for £49.99 dated 27/11/2008 when I stumbled on this website ; to rid myself of this Platte logo etc I put my computer back to factory setting and did not use the internet again on it.
In February this year 2010 I was inundated with "INTERNATIONAL" - telephone calls which I ignored. I worried this out and realised it might have a connection with the original Platte invoice for £49.99 as i had not had any postal contact . I don't know what to do. please help

---
[Platte ceased trading in the UK last year - see Platte exits, leaving questions. Please direct any further questions on Platte to Charles Arthur, technology editor at the Guardian newspaper (charles.arthur@guardian.co.uk) ]

I'm sick of splogs. However, you've linked to a lot of them here - at least try to use "nofollow" on those links - you're passing pagerank to the splogs. Legitimising them. If I owned one of those splogs, I'd be pleased with you. Why else do you think they ping everyone - to get the trackback link. You're linking to them for nothing. Stop it! Please.

[You checked the links before leaving your comment? They've been dead for several years. And don't complain about me dropping your link to 24hourtrading dot co uk off your comment. According to Yahoo site explorer, you seem to be doing quite well without my pagerank! -M]
